Even Thomas Jefferson said that a bit of revolution every now and then is neccessary to a government. I haven't been this pissed since the Viet Nam war. We would have been much better off if Katrina had hit Washington.

nice piece and i agree, most people i meet seem to think that standing against the government is wrong or anti-American, but they fail to realize that the founding fathers that we have come to respect did the exact same thing and opposed their government when it was out of line. So in actuality rebeling is very American.

Again, powerful image. It seems to me that somehow the protestors had more desire to get out and stand up for what they felt was wrong during Vietnam. It seems like very few people these days either have the energy or desire to stand up for liberty and truth. That and the huge cloud of fear from the government if you dare to speak against it.
